If you want to get married in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, a popular destination for Caribbean luxury travel, the Applicants need to apply for a Marriage License, provide the required documentation, and pay applicable fees.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND FEES TO OBTAIN LICENSE
- A Valid Passport to show Applicants' country of citizenship.
- A signed and notarized Affidavit to confirm the applicants are single.
- If your name has changed, certified proof is needed.
- If you require a Church Wedding, an Annulment Certificate is necessary.
- Two passport-sized photos.
- If the Applicant has been divorced, the Original or Certified Copy of the Divorce Decree is required as proof.
- If the Applicant has been Widowed, the Original or Certified Copy of the Marriage and Death Certificates of the deceased spouse are required.
- If the Applicant is under the age of 18 years, a Sworn certified affidavit of Consent stamped and signed by a Notary Public is needed.
- If the Applicant does not understand or speak English, or if the documentation is not in English, an Authentic Translator must be presented.
APPLICABLE MARRIAGE FEES AND COST
Civil marriages may be performed by the Registrar General at the Registry General Office between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each weekday, and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. An additional fee of $260.00 is payable for civil ceremonies. An attractive Marriage Room, perfect for celebrating your love amidst the beauty of Saint Vincent vacations, is available for these occasions. One week’s notice is required for reserving a date and time for a marriage ceremony.
Please be aware that two witnesses are required for every ceremony. On weekdays, Registry General staff can serve as witnesses, but you must inform the office about your need for witnesses at the time of confirming your marriage appointment. For Saturday marriages, you must bring your own witnesses.
