The applicants must apply for a marriage license, submit the required documentation, and pay the applicable fees. It is important for one of the applicants to be in the country for at least 15 days before applying to ensure a seamless process.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND FEES TO OBTAIN LICENSE.
- A valid passport to confirm the applicants' country of citizenship.
- A signed and notarized affidavit proving that the applicants are single.
- Certified proof if a name change has occurred.
- An annulment certificate if a church wedding is requested.
- Two passport-size photos.
- If an applicant has been divorced, an original or certified copy of the divorce decree is mandatory as proof.
- For applicants who are widowed, original or certified copies of the marriage and death certificates of the deceased spouse are required.
- If an applicant is under the age of 18 years, a sworn certified affidavit of consent must be stamped and signed by a notary public.
- For applicants who do not understand or speak English, or if the documentation is not in English, an authentic translator must be provided.

- Marriage court officer's fee: $675.00 ECD or $250.00 USD.
