If you want to get married in The Dominican Republic, the couple can bring the original documentations with them, but all photocopies must be set prior in Spanish.
- DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN MARRIAGE LICENSE.
- A Valid Passport to show when entered the country
- A Brith Certificate
- A signed and notarized Affidavit to show the applicants are single
- Two or more witnesses with Valid Passports
- For Church Weddings an Annulment Certificate is required for divorces
- Two Passport size photos
- If Applicant has been divorced, the Original or Certified Copy of the Divorce Decree is required as proof.
- If Applicant has been Widowed, the Original or Certified Copy of the Marriage and Death Certificates are required of the deceased spouse.
- If Applicant is under the age of 18 years, a sworn certified affidavit of consent stamped and signed by a Notary Public.
- If Applicant does not understand or speak Spanish, or the Documentation are not in Spanish, an Authentic Translator must be present.
